Our HistoryMURPHYSTORE a 200 year old listed building on the Quay in Kinvara, Co Galway has now been restored from dereliction. Originally used as a grain store, this magnificent building is open to the public as a shop and coffee shop. It specialises in the work of local craftspeople and artists offering unique pieces not found elsewhere. In keeping with its location MURPHYSTORE stocks a range of products for health and beauty made from seaweed harvested in unpolluted shores off the west of Ireland. Art GalleryOn 22nd May until 7th June 2009 Murphystore will host an exhibition of original paintingd by Donal Mac Polin from his book Traditional boats of Ireland. Thses exceptional illustrations will be exhibited for the first time in total to welcome visitors to Galway Bay for the Volvo Ocean Yacht Race. Exhibition is open daily until 6pm. |
